Talking Jolly Ball ?

So I have recently seen Jag's post about the jolly ball and I have seen other people talk about them. I really didn't know what they were until today. I got on the pionusparrot.com website and looked at them...those look like a ton of fun!!! So now I really want to get Rocky one, problem where do I hang it? I live in an apartment so I can't hang it from the ceiling, unless someone knows how without damaging anything! Or is there a safe stand you can buy to hang it from. I did think about his playstand, but it is way to small for one. I finally found the cage I want, thought I could buy it today, turns out I can't, but it will be perfect for the ball when I get it, but in the meatime where should I hang it?

We have plant hangers on our home on the ceiling so I think thats where I would hang mine. I dont think they damage the ceiling much at all if you want to put one in. Or you could put it in the cage (if its big enough of course). As far as not having a cage large enough for one I guess you would probably HAVE to hang it from the ceiling, I cant think of anywhere else it could go?

Hmm, what about using a tension rod in a doorway and hanging it from there? Being he is a smaller sized parrot I think it should hold him.

That would be perfect I didn't even think about that!! He only weighs like 107 grams, it's perfect!! Now where would I find one of those, maybe like walmart or target?

They are not for wrestling they are more of a playgym. Here is an example.

I have my hanging from the ceiling (yes.. right in the middle of the livingroom!) and I used a hook that specifically holds a certain amount of weight. Got it from Lowe's. The Jolly Ball is kinda heavy when you get the stuff strung on it, so make sure you check the weight advised on the package. I went a little higher, because I wasn't sure how much it would end up weighing.

To fix before you leave, you can simply fill the hole with wood putty or whatever and spackle over it. The one I got, though, has 'wings' that come out when in the ceiling, so you have to be careful on how you remove it. It looks just like a plant hanger, so if you have a corner you can hang it in I'm sure it wouldn't be that big of a deal to leave it when you move.
