Halloween is my favorite - this year I didn't dress up but last year Aloha & I went to work as Tippi Hedren from Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" after the bird attack, (got rave reviews if anyone needs a great costume for next year and it was pretty easy & cheap to make).
The year before Kazoo & I were Jack Sparrow and a parrot pirate :)
They like to go to work on special occasions, and I have my own office so we can have privacy if need be. Everyone there loves to see them, though, so we get visitors all day!

I know how you feel. It's a relatively new thing. Before, she would never go to bed before midnight. I couldn't put her to bed before that because she would squawk and I would worry that she might disturb my roommate who would be studying in her room, or the neighbors next door. Now, I just put her in her cage, cover the front and top with her nighttime comforter, then rotate it to towards the wall, and she goes to sleep in less than 5 minutes. She squawked the first 3 days, but then quickly realized that it no longer works to get her out, so now as soon as I do the nighttime conversion, she jumps into her hut and starts grinding her beak. Sometimes she tries a few "hello"s to see if those would work, and sometimes they do! Ugh she can be so cute.
