What my conure did for halloween.

So yesterday was halloween, I just got off the phone with my dad, and kids came trick or treating, he prepared a candy basket and the bird decided to perch on the basket, and when people came knocking and as he handed the candy to them the bird would try to nip the candy and not let them get it, apparently it got my dad alot of laughs hehe.

I miss him!

Im about to call him soon again.

How was your halloween and did you guys answer the door with your birds ^^?

my halloween was.. meh.

I didn't answer the door with my birds because i feel its a risk that's it not needed to be taken. The bird can EASILLY fly away (unless on a harness..) but even with your bird on a harness i think its too dangerous.

Sorry xmem, that is such a bad idea. I won't even open the door unless the birds are in their cages locked up safe. Even if the bird is used to being out side what if they got scared from the kids yelling or flailing around fake swords, or if they jumped on someones shoulder and they freaked out and hit the bird. Really, really not safe.

Same here, Holly. I don't open the door. If they're out flying around, i lock the door so that someone else can't open it. Then, if someone knocks, i lock them in a room before i answer.

I am with the rest of you. I didn't have to worry about it though. I spent $16 on candy and didn't have a single trick or treater... it sucked.

My gf and I dressed up and went to South Beach. The scene gets better and the people hotter every year. Gotta love halloween!
