Red face Charlie, the brat.

I was enjoying a quiet weekend, just relaxing on the comp. I was playing a game, just a little something to entertain me. Had Charlie with me on my lap, and he was minding his own business, preening himself. Every now and then I'd give him some scritches, which of course he enjoyed.

So I'm just sitting there, playing the game, and next thing I know, Charlie steps up from my lap, to the desk, stands on the keyboard, turns in a circle, which results in closing down the game client (he never once pressed "Esc" "Alt + F4" or "Enter"), then ever so quietly, and so sweetly, he walks back down to my lap and continues preening.... as if he'd been there the whole time. Teach me a lesson, right? All I really could do was sit there, shake my head, think "brat" and laugh about it later!

I'm not entirely sure he new what he was doing (after all, he was just pressing buttons!) but I have a feeling he might have! I'm afraid to think of the day he learns how to shut the computer off on me! I'd be in real trouble then!

And speaking of brats, Charlie has a new pest! He probably needs to call pest control, if he could figure out that the phone is actually useful, instead of something bad and worth attacking, or screaming at it.... Either way, he's got this new pest that keeps getting into his cage, rummaging about in his food, drinking his water, doing "house cleaning" and messing with his toys. This little pest is blue, white, and black. Of course, I end up having to remove this pest for Charlie, before he can do any harm to "it." The pest really pisses him off, and although I don't have a photo I can share of this pest in action, I do have a similar shot... At least though, it gets him moving about in his cage and getting him to exercise more while in it!

This isn't Charlie, and this isn't the pest.... but same idea! Just about....

I hope he doesn't learn how to do that!!!! Of course he'd probably rant about how I don't give him enough seeds to eat, how terrible it is of me to leave for entire days (you know, work? it exists!) or how I abuse him with the dremel and it scares him real bad (hey, not my fault he tried to bully a larger parrot!!!), or how much fun he has chasing the poor cats! He also has toys and items in his cage... personally, I think they do more damage to him, than he does to the toys! He just gets so pissed off at these items, then they turn around and "fight back"! The more the items kick his tush, the angrier he gets at them!!!! I think at some point he decides to give in to defeat and leaves said item alone.... and it stops attacking him after that! That is, until the next round...

Lately, he's become an even bigger pain in the arse than normal... then again, I just got over from being sick not too long ago, and I'm not handling this change of temperature well (cold for a couple of weeks, warm for a few days, then straight back to cold for a while longer!).

Keyboard shortcuts? I love the one bite and spit it out removal of the keys :)

Only my Pois are heavy enough to change my scroll patterns/windows, etc. !

I get the "bite and spit" technique on food that Charlie doesn't like, but because I'm eating it, he must have some too! I guess he figures that if I like it, that if he keeps digging, that sooner or later, he'll find something he'll like! Only to end up tossing or flinging every piece he takes!
