This might be interpreted in the wrong way. He is just very fast and quick to respond. Again, my original post was about REHOMING him, not exploiting his power.

Ed, having him do what is NATURAL to him in his NATURAL habitat.. is not exploiting. It's allowing him to be a JEEP, not some Yugo. I would always have safety in mind, of course, and always use the parking brake when needed so he can't escape.

Now I just broke up!

Maybe a mirrored ceiling garage with pictures of Lambos on the walls. The Lambo orange is intoxicating.

Meanwhile, what do I tell Milton?

Honestly, you are all just a bit too concerned with garages, countryside drives, surf side parking.... I think what Jeepy needs is to be needed and useful again.

I have absolutely the perfect answer... no need for exhorbitant amounts of over eating to satisfy the V-8 appetite, or the need to share a garage with an unattractive Yugo. I'll pay the re-home fee and Jeepy can rest comfortably in the harbor, with marine life continually pampering his frame, his door, his hood, and maybe even his spark plugs can get a fish whip or two.

How wonderful if he could serve the much needed housing shortage in the harbor for all the fish and marine life. How he would glow in knowing that while maintaining all of his true self, a Jeepy, he could move on in life with a change in name.... Maybe ummm.....
Jeepy Marine Housing, Inc... dba Jeepy Section 8, Low Income Housing.

Dreamy, don't you think?

Looking at this thread breaks my heart every time. I think I've seen enough. I'm calling the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Automobiles - not to be confused with the other SPCA) and having both Jeepy and Milton pulled away and given to new forever homes.

I will only rehome Jeepy. Milton stays!

And I will either get a tremendously high rehoming fee or begin disassembling Jeepy to offer as parts for his kind in the wild. Jeepy's parts are near perfect, and I can make a lot of money that way. And let's face it, all this is about money at this point. I have become hardened (not necessarily a bad thing).

I will give up surf side encounters for hard dollars.

I love being a romantic.

That's what I do as well when I get stuck with a pet that I don't want and can't sell. I eat it.
