Need to rehome Jeepy

Sadly, I need to rehome Jeepy, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, as Milton, my Black Capped conure and Jeepy are not "playing" well together. Jeepy is garage aggressive, and needs to be with a caring family that does not have another Jeep or Black Capped conure.

Jeepy is terrific in all ways. If interested, I will send pictures of his silver body (really stunning).

A fair rehoming fee would be expected, naturally.

Normally, I would say to work with Jeepy. But, as I know Milton has serious enough issues with Jeepy to cause vomiting, jeep sickness and thus, a resulting binge eating fest... it might truly be in Milton's best interest that Jeepy were rehomed.

I'm sure Jeepy could possibly find a loving environment in a family that has no Miltons, and will have enough social activities presented to him like, long drives in the countryside, the best gas he can consume and a good washing now and then.

Does Jeepy have a pension for drinking too much? My bf's cherokee definitely is selfish when it comes to giving him his favorite treat, gas. Unfortunately we havent found anyone to work with him yet, people are too afraid of the money they will be spending. I hope Jeepy finds a new garage soon!!

I would only be interested if Jeepy came with his garage.
Garages are expensive!

What a silly thread. Thanks for the giggles. I will not be showing this thread to hubby who occassionally gets infected with MVS or Multiple Vehicle Syndrome. I have already told him in the past that vehicles like Jeepy can be a little unpredictable, especially when going down the side of a mountain, and probably don't mix too well with kids.

All,

Thank you for being so understanding. I am touched.

As xafsmom relayed, Milton did go into binge eating, but no one is aware that he followed that with a comatose sleep of 14 hours. No sound or motion could disturb him.

Happily, when he awoke this AM, Milton was back to his normal self.

Poor Jeepy must carry the burden of being rehomed.

Jeepy is a V-8, so feeding costs are not insignificant.

Again, your support is so comforting.

EB

This thread makes me so angry I want to %$^@#. And what really gets me is that while there are numerous cases like Jeepy's (just look at craigslist), manufacturers continue to produce them by the thousands every year...

Now now Carbon. It's not the manufacturers fault, it's the people who go out and buy these vehicles without proper researching or as trophy cars. Now from my understanding of what EB is saying these are unfortunate and unpredictable circumstances that have resulted in the need to rehome jeepy. the exisitng family member needs to come ahead of the new comer.

My husband would love to help you out but due to import issues, paperwork, lack of appropriate housing and chances are Paj may get jealous we're unable to assist.

I wish you all the best in rehoming what sounds to me like a much loved companion vehicle.
