New Blue Yellowsided Conure

Hi,

This is my impulse buy I was having a hedgehog couriered down to me from North England and saw this little girl advertised on a forum, they were rehoming her cos they had a baby, and were redecorating the house... or something! Anyway, she had been advertised for a few weeks with no interest, and it was a bit of a dodgy forum, so i made the guy a cheeky offer for her (much less than he was asking lol) and he accepted. I wasnt sure if she was tame, or what she looked like particularly as the photos he sent were rather grainy. He was selling her as a blue green cheek, and she was 4 months old. I am her FOURTH home in 4 months, she has been passed around too much for a baby She was located near to the hedgehog breeder, and it wasnt much more to get her picked up as well... so....

Anyway, she arrived a few weeks ago. VERY tame, very sweet, absolutely stunning and a real delight to have. She has settled in really well in my house, and bonded with my black capped conure as soon as they were introduced! I am reliably informed that she is actually a blue yellowsided green cheek, but whatever she is, im really pleased with her and she definately has a home for life here!!

And this is her bestest friend, Sweet Pea the cockatiel!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get her for?

Thanks guys!

Im in the UK so it wont really mean much for you over there, but i paid £80 for Lola. She would have cost about £170 as a baby so quite a bargain!

I'm fairly sure there's no such thing as a "blue" yellow-sided conure. I could be wrong (maybe rare?). Kiwi is a yellow-sided green cheek. That's what it looks like you have! Your new baby is adorable.
