Look what i got Harley to do! (Video)

Heres my BCC. Ive been working with Harley quite a bit this past week. Harley would not come to the perch if the door was open he would just hang from the cage. Lil by Lil ive been persuading the birdy to be nice and talk to me with the cage door open. Please disregard the silly talk!

I think im making progress!

A few dilemas. Harleys wings arent clipped! if i finally get Harley to step up or come out of the cage what prevents the bird from flying around and maybe getting hurt.

The easy answer to that would be well take her to the Vet and have her wings clipped lol. But......... i still havent taught her to step up come to my hand so i can put her in a trasnport thingy so i can driver her there! AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Its like who came first the egg or the Conure type thing! lol.

awww, that's great: he's starting to trust you guys more and more. definite progress! keep working on it as it will definitely pay off! and, i think the "silly talk" is quite sweet...i catch myself doing it all of the time :S.

as for the clipping, i guess you're going to have to wait it out 'til she starts stepping up. hopefully she won't attempt to try to fly around too much until then.

That is great.

I let Abbey fly around are house. That was house she first became comfortable with us. She would get interested in what I was doing an fly over to see what I had. But I am pro flight...lol

Really looks like your bird is getting more comfortable. Congrats! See how you do and how the bird does when he/she does start flying. You can make your decisions then. Just make sure that all the 'escape' routes are covered, because a startled bird will fly....
