How to stop the beginnings of a foot fetish?
So normally I wear socks in the house since my feet are always freezing but today I was barefoot for a while. Guy kept flying to the floor (which he never does) and proceeded to chase after my feet. He actually appeared kind of aggressive about it, feathers fluffed, tail spread and beak open. I wasn't too keen on losing a toe so I picked him up but then he would do it again. I finally just put him in time out in his cage. Then later he went after my 3 year old's feet, which scared me since my kid was screeching bloody murder and dancing around. I am scared he will get stepped on if he keeps this up! Maybe he thinks it's a game now or something, he just started doing it this afternoon. Do anyone else's birds do this? Are timeouts effective? This is totally new behavior to me....

That's true...I didn't really think about that! Plus, I had really sparkly toenail polish on and maybe he was interested in that. I am just worried about him going after my three year old's feet and getting stepped on accidently..they are always supervised when together but still, things can happen fast. I will just keep an eye on it and maybe just divert his attention if he start eyeballing someone's bare tootsies, LOL

My Indie has a toe fetish - it's the only time he'll walk along the floor. He'll be coy for a moment and just sort of walk around before giving chase. It's not something I've found a way to curb - he bites them through socks as well so I'm never safe. Just wear socks or sit with your feet under yourself?

We have 2 crimson bellies..and only 1 of them will always go after my toes when she see's them..even with socks on.. just loves them for some reason. Doesn't matter if I'm walking or if I'm sitting on the couch with them..always seems to notice my toes .

Fortunately there has been no more feet chasing yesterday, maybe he was just freaked out by my bare feet. Which I guess isn't a problem since 99% of the time, I do have socks on. My feeties get cold, especially during Alaskan winters!
