See if your local pet store sells wire dog crates with the removable plastic trays below. If they do, good chance they sell replacement trays OR can order one for you. Shouldn't be too expensive.

Another alternative would be to use a plastic runner cut to your preferred size.

Your local chain hardware store may have something in the gardening department that would work too.

Plastic Boot tray from Lowes. Some of the farm stores sell trays for building rabbit hutches. I have also used a plastic tray whatever size you want you can order from Midwest cages...the kind made for dog cages and they look great. Order them under replacement parts

I was thinking the same thing about the tote lid. Casters on the bottom of a piece of plywood would be nice too. Cover the plywood with plastic or formica. Maybe you can find an old piece of formica countertop somewhere. I put my cats litter box inside one of those black trays they mix concrete in. You can get them at them hardware store. JUst some thoughts.

I got a HUGE plastic dog crate tray (like 54"x 40") online for $45ish so look online - I think I got mine from Drs. Foster & Smith's website. Then for the food/water dishes, we used the Lixit locking crocks - just drill a hole through the PVC and pop them on. It was quick and easy.

Gaz likes to poop right after she crawls out of the cage- we bought a litter box and fill it up with their bedding, it seems to work really well without it being too deep... :)
