what to use depends on what kind of wood you are cutting, how thick, etc. You can use a jigsaw, a rotozip or a scroll saw, depending on the thickness of the wood and type of wood.

if the wood isn't more than a 1/4" then a dremel might work, however a rotozip works better. Again, if the thickness of the wood is more than 1/4" use a jigsaw. Now depending on the sizes of the shapes you are gonna make, a scroll saw works wonderful! Be very careful i whatever you decide to use to cut them to wear safety goggles and keep your fingers out of the way! Good Luck!

If you are going to do a lot of cutting and the pieces are 1/4" to 1/2" then the jigsaw would be a good thing to buy. However, a scroll saw is the best thing, and you can cut very fine edges and details that you can't with a jigsaw. But it is usually more expensive and if you won't be doing that much detail, then you won't need it. A dremel can do a lot of things, but it is more for fine details rather than cutting larger items.
