Yep. My tiels have tons of toys that are threaded on sisal. Now if I could just get them to play with them....lol

As long as the wood is all natural and untreated (usually Pine). You can use food coloring to dye the wood if your fid(s) enjoy fun fashion colors.

years ago my job including splicing both types on board ship,be careful as you can get little hair like slivers in your hands from the rope.wash hands with soap and use brush when done and that usually removes all of them,won't hurt birds as digestible ,some fester if not removed,like real fine hairs,if does dig it out or if you see it festering get someone to dig it out for you,had very bad experience with it once.just be careful,remember i did this every day for many years and only once did i get in trouble by letting it go to long.you should have no problems just a little cautious safety advise.
