gym branches

i want to make a play gym for my parrotlet.

Is there something that can treat chemically treated branches?

I wouldn't want to try, personally. Find branches that aren't treated, or toxic etc.

i use birch branches that i cut myself,i scrub them well in hot water then let them soak in a bath of weak bleach solution,scrub them again in hot water and leave them somewhere warm to dry for a week or so,my birds love to chew them up and strip off the bark.
