I think I remember reading that cholla branches were good for this...and they're relatively inexpensive.
As long as it isn't the main perch of the cage, you shouldn't have to worry about it too much....but I'd caution going through all the trouble of doing this without trying something cheaper first. Both my conures refuse to perch on rough concrete type perches, although my bgm seems to love his. It's the perch by his water, so he's encouraged to step on it if he wants to sit comfortably while he drinks. Otherwise, he doesn't need to be on it. Still, he choses to sit there more often than not. o.0 Well, that or his rope boing. ^^ |
