What did you use as that "top toy hook" kind of thing?
I've been looking all over for Toy Hooks and that seems like it might be easier to find.

You did an amazing job! It looks awesome

It is bottlebrush wood.

The top arch is made from a stainless steel rod I bought in Home Depot. It is safe, bendable and very strong. All the little attachments (like the bolt, washers etc) that were used to hold it in are also stainless.

The bottom tray is actually a shelf that had formica on it but because we drilled in it to make the stand, we had to cover the formica. The gravel looking design are those sticky tiles. I got 6 sticky tiles in the dollar store for $2!

Trust me guys, it is not hard to make at all! This was our first ever project for the birds so we have no experience.

I also added a few more things...i will take a picture when I am done. I added a coconut cup on the bottom to put treats and some plastic grass on the bottom where I can hide nutriberries in for foraging. They fids won't be hanging on the bottom too much and they will be supervised so I don't have to worry about them eating the plastic grass.

I agree his stuff is ridiculously priced considering bottlebrush is cheap in Florida.

I wish someone could make me something like that out of cajeput!
You could make gyms out of cajeput and say something to the effect of: "Cajeput, the superior bottlebrush" Since the bark lasts longer and is flakier and chewier.
Plus its considered a weed in Florida since its taking over native plant species.

Too bad I dont live in florida.

Well actually mine is cajeput. I know they use bottlebrush and cajeput interchangeably sometimes. My fids love peeling the top layer off and then they get to the hard bark and can't chew it for nothing.
I am sure Wayne pays nothing for his wood. I just refuse to buy from someone who is clearly trying to steal people's money. It is more than profit for him. You can try making it with another wood.
Buying cajeput or bottlebrush branches are expensive.

cajeput is actually a type of bottlebrush, they have white bottlebrush flowers instead of red normally.

Yours looks dark like bottlebrush, may just be the pictures.

See: Cajeput Perch - Medium

all that great chewey bark, keeps Dews busy for hours. I buy him the really big one though.
