Question Bird Flooring?????????

Ok, so I was not sure where to post this, but could use some suggestions....

We currently have a bird room we share with our computers. We are going to be moving the puters out, now that it has gotten warmer and we can tear stuff apart(LOL).

My question..........

We currently have wall to wall carpeting and it sucks........... We are wanting to rip it up and put something down that is more bird friendly and maybe easier to clean ( I know nothing is going to be super easy ). We were thinking of laminate flooring, but was also told to go with tiles or vinyl flooring.............. Anyone have an opinion on this.......... ty in advance

You could try laminate flooring. Any thing but carpet is always going to be easier to clean in my opinion. Especially if you have birds of any kind. I would think it is more of your personal taste that you will have a final decision.

I personaly like the vinyl squares you can install really easily. They just stick to the floor and they line up really well, and you can cut them easily for custom corners or things like that. Most tile you can get for around $3.00 a tile, about 12"x12". Here is a link!

I have a bird room. Anywhere there is a hint of a crack - a seed shell or pellet piece will stick there. Stuff gets ground into the cracks. No cracks or seams for me thank you. The new one piece stuff needs no glue. I had it in the front of my shop. They just laid it down., put the trim on. It didnt move the entire six years I was open!

I have vinyl boards that look like wooden floors, it's really nifty!

I have no personal experience with laminate, but... I hear you have to be very careful not to get is too wet. If water seeps through the seams the wood under it will swell up. Then your floor is ruined.

Personally, I would do ceramic tile. Cage wheels can cut into vinyl.
