I'm trying it.

How to Grow Millet for Song Birds | eHow.com

I have a big pot. Filled w/ dirt. Scattered the left over seeds from the bottom of the bag. It has about 50ish 2inch tall sprouts in it now.

I'm in an apartment so I can't really test how to grow more than a pot full.
:)

i found a wild dandelion and plunked a few seeds in their own pot. (its a weed... so no work required, right!)

I'm on the verge of planting spinach and carrots... buying spinach is a waste for my family, but I figure if I plant it I can just pluck off as necessary... and I haven't found carrots w/ tops in stores, and the green is the best part!

I've had a potted strawberry plant since last year... its got dozens of blossoms on it already!

Bird Herb Garden 101.

What else can I grow.... hmmm..... parsley... kale....
