Preparing branches
I have some large branches that I would like to use for a playgym. I will scrub them with and soak them but my question is what else should I do.
they are pine and untreated, they are too bg to be baked. Should I strip off the bark or leave it on for them to chew? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

"Also be certain that the pine for bird perches is dry pine that aged for as much as a year or two. Otherwise the pitch in the pine will be an awful thing for bird feathers."
Bird; Birds: Safe, Toxic Trees, Woods. Safe Tree Wood. Parrots. Parrot cages. Not sure... about pine. Other woods that are too big to bake can be rinsed in vinegar:water (50:50 ratio), let sit for 10 minutes, rinse. Sunbake for a few days.
