It does look truly amazing! Wonderful job. I love the extra effort you took to alternate the colors of the vet wrap.
I used vet wrap for the first time about a week ago... it did smell pretty funky... but it has lost most of its odd smell over the past week. (and you do not wash it before use) Here is my teeny one: http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...une2009049.jpg

Very nice but damn, you are gonna have one helluva time cleaning all that vetwrap.
Have you considered wrapping some of the surfaces with sisal or hemp for a little variation? You can also lightly sand off the "shine" to make it easier to grip. Also, you can find wooden dowels that fit the pvc fittings for some variation. Just throwing out a few more ideas for you.
