Some Advice Please

I really want to make a homemade play area for puck,
on top of one of my little nightstands I only use for her.

Couple quick questions.
Do I use glue and if so, what kind?
If not, then what,?

What types of wood is okay for a bird?,
and how do you clean it off, i've heard of just warm water
& let it dry in the sun.

Glue is fine so long as the bird can't get to it and chew it off. You can also use stainless steel/nickel plated hardware.

Cleaning, you can use soap and hot water, or a bit of diluted bleach, vinegar, etc. Be sure to rinse well and allow to dry.
