Non Toxic Dyes

Good morning all, im looking for some opinions. I make Charlie, my GSC2, toys from blocks of untreated pine, so far I have been colouring them using food colouring, which is fine, BUT I can only buy it in really small quantities. I have found a supplier of non-toxic dyes. These dyes are in bulk lots and the site is aimed at childrens playcentres/playgroups. Do you think that these dyes would be safe/suitable to use to colour my blocks of wood??, or should I stick to the food colouring????.

Your opinions would be great.

Diane

Thanks for the link, but the cost of freight to New Zealand would make this unfeasible.

I would stick with the food coloring. Surely even in New Zealand there must be some place to buy food coloring in bulk also. Ask at a bakery shop where they get theirs.

I don't know what the shipping would cost....but this is what I use and the bottles are HUGE, it only takes a very little to go a looong way, and the colors come out bright and gorgeous and full of awesome:
