Smile SI female Chili Such a lover read about her here.

Hello all, Well from time to time I find a little bundle of joy who needs to be loved and who loves to be loved, This time this little girl found me.

A lady acquired to my ad looking for an eclectus.
She told me that she had a SI 8 year old female.
I was also told she was somewhat of a closet plucker.
I was told that she was overly affectionate and wanted to be held 24/7.

I looked into the situation and figured I wouldn’t hold my breath but I would see what I could do. I have seen tame eclectus but not Lovie dovie tame.
Well I saw this little girl and fell head over heels.
She is the tamest little girl I have ever seen
I don’t think she has a mean bone in her.

She wants to be held all of the time and she loves to be rubbed Oh my.
she makes love moans and cuddles into you and goes to sleep
I've never seen any other eclectus act so sweet.

I had talked to john "Beaks" and he had told me about using a watered down mouth wash mixture 1 part mouth wash 3 parts water. Then lightly carefully spraying her lower body, NOT HER HEAD OR FACE. Allowing it to sit for a few seconds and then rinsing her off. This kills germs and cleans her skin and feathers. Tomorrow I will be purchasing an Aloe plant and cutting and cleaning a stalk so she can eat it, clean out toxicants and replenish her skin.
I then towel dried her and blow dried her skin on low being sure it didn’t get too warm or in her face, (she enjoyed it).

I do not know why she plucks to me as long as she is healthy and taken care of I am fine. She is beautiful with or without her feathers.
Her love is the true love that shows me the beauty in life.
As corny as those few words are they are very true.
It’s unbelievable to feel the love of someone who has been through so much and still has the love to give that’s just truly unselfish and LOVE.

A few people could learn something from her.
Anyways now that I’ve gone off the deep end.
I just wanted to tell everyone about her and I will post her picture and I will allow everyone to take the journey with chili and I.
Thanks for allowing me to breathe :)

I was looking around on the net and it shows a few vest for plucking birds.
does anyone know of any practical safer vest that are comfortable?

I would love her to be able to grow her feather back in and see if she was used to them, she doesnt give them a chance to grow back.
I have had a success with another eckie how i did that i dunno lol,

I would appreciate any info you can give me and ratings/ product info and where to buy?

not only would i like to have her grow feathers i would like to to keep a steady temp. thanks everyone

I've heard of using listerine with two to four parts water, and spraying that on the bird... which helps to sooth the skin.. You might want to ask Nancy (Outlaw) if she can make a vest for your new ekkie.

Congrats on finding her and good luck in helping her!

Yes, I wanted to clean her feathers and skin, sometimes thats why they pluck
I have been looking around for vest, She is a Big girl nothing like my other ecletus i have had. Her feathers look so much better after her bath.

She does some very odd things, she loves to have her back rubbed and she will poke her butt up and rub it into me LMAO.
she acts like she wants to mate. when i rub her back she will open her wings and bow down and make a moaning noise.
Tonight she is eating sweet potatos, mashed banana, chopped grapes.
with some handfeeding formula on the side with powdered calcium.

She is very silly lol, not your everyday eclectus.

So off i go looking for more vest, all the ones ive found look too restricted and uncomfortable.
