Ekkie Cage suggestion help (again)

Hey guys!!!!

I need help on picking out my cage - I have finally narrowed down my search and have picked a few to choose from.

Before I show you all the choices I want to explain exactly what I am wanting which will also help with the right choice.

To start my Ekkie is a Solomon Island and I know they are considered the smaller ones of the sup-species, but how much smaller? I am trying to picture the size of the cage and the bird in the cage, but it's hard when you don't know the exact size of the bird.

I am wanting a cage that will give my ekkie lots of room to play, move around, and be comfortable. He will spend most of his time out of the cage, but when inside I want him to feel good. I want to provide him with lots of room, but not so much where he isn't using all of the room in the cage. I don't want it to seem as if I see him not using the whole cage and feel that it is just wasting space.

I am also wanting to get a cage that will stay with me for many years to come - I am not looking for a cage to start with and then upgrade later on. I want a one time cage. A cage the will be my Ekkies home for many years and will get a new one once this cage has had it.

The cages listed below are the ones that I am trying to choose from. There are 3 sets and each set has to cages in them - meaning there are really only 3 different cages, but each one comes in 2 different sizes. If you could really put your thinking cap on and think which size and design would be best suited for an Ekkie plus the information I gave you above and let me know what you think would work best that would be awesome.

Right now I am not worried about which design I like best or which would look best in my home, I am concentrating on which will be best suited for the bird, so if you could ignore your tastes if YOU tend to like one better then the other and worry more about what would be best for the ekkie that would be an big help.

Here are the cages -

Set 2 is the cage I have Twinkle in, she does fine and I like it. My opinion is the wider 36inch cage would be better if you have the space and 1in bar spacing would be fine even for a Solomon. Any of the cages would actually be fine but the 36in over the 32in is what I would think most would agree to be the better. Happy cage hunting.

I have my thought to be SI in a very different cage, but the one I WANT to get and is on my list is actually one of the ones you have picked out!

THATS the one I WANT to get Quana. I just love the top that folds down and is supported for the landing pad, the nice LARGE front access door, and the top-well, I don't so much like the top. its either that one, or to get another like the kind she has;

just for a size comparison, this is the one I have Quana in; Parrot Paradise:
Prevue Hendryx #128

its 55x37x25. I love the way the top LOCKS into place, so no matter WHAT she does, it cannot fall and injure her.
this is what she looks like in that size cage;

I would go with 1b. I have a similar cage for my RS Ekkie pair. I never open the top but I do open the top fold down door, they love to hang out there. Good luck.
