The tongue of an Eclectus!

Hi,

I was wondering about the tongue of an Eclectus. I am a previous CAG owner and their tongues are black, dry and feel alittle like leather. Are Ekkies' the same? Just wondering ( no special reason why )...LOL!

TIA,
Michelle

Hmm. I only have my boy. His tongue has a black tip but rest of tongue is more flesh colored. Just FYI.

I refer to Zazu's tongue as "spongy". He loves to give me kisses and thats what it feels like to me. Warm, dry and spongy .

Yep... Black tip bottom and the rest is flesh colored. I too have a CAG and I'd have to say that their tongues pretty much feel the same. Only the color is different. Their beaks are very different as well. I'm not talking about the obvious (color/shape). I am talking about their nips and/or bites. I found that my ekkies beak is much more piercing than my grey's beak. Even with and after proper wear and tear.
