How do I find almost every local Eclectus breeder?

How do I find almost every local Eclectus breeder? I am looking for every breeder within 400 miles or so of Washington D.C.. It seems a daunting task locating them all and thought maybe someone has already done the leg work. Also, If anyone can list any "great" Eclectus breeders on or near the east coast, I would greatly appreciate it. I want to talk to some breeders and continue my research for a few months before I even think of getting one.

I would look at different bird breeder sites.. I used to like birdbreeders.com, but they switched how things work now and, well, I don't like it.

there are quite a few places to find ekkie breeders, and might I also add-look at rescues. I love older need new homes birds.

Good luck. I wouldn't have the slightest clue. It's just going to take some leg work and no matter how much research you do, I am sure that you'll not ever find them ALL.
However, the Land of Vos and some of the other Eclectus Boards may be a good place to start looking as well.

There's an ekkie in a rescue based in DC. She was listed in the last few days. I've been looking almost every day because I'm looking to rescue a male soon.

Adopt Rain [DC] - Eclectus Bird

Her name is Rain, and I believe, just by looking at her head, that she's a Solomon. But who even knows if that's her picture?

You can get some cheap air fare between DC and Cleveland, Mary's Bird World in Amherst, Ohio, the owner does breed. You could call and talk to her (440)988-2006. Know she has a male available now, hand feed and very sweet.

Impressed so far..

I am impressed so far with the Feathered playpen. I like that they go into detail of their weaning and socialization process....one of the things I look for. I try to only supoort great breeders or rescue agencies. I will probably contact this lady and others. Thanks much!

You would not have to ship, you could fly in yourself, pick up the bird, fly it back with you. Would not buy a bird unless you could see and handle first.
