Are you feeding any kind of pellet? If so , please stop. They really aren't a good idea with ekkies. If not, please discuss what you are feeding? Usually, after a first molt, you are left with genetic mutations or problems associated with nutrition.

Good. May I also suggest feeding seed mixes other than Pretty Bird. Its not considered to be a very good mix.

And, Ekkies NEED a fresh diet consisting mostly of dark green leafy veggies, beans, broccoli, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, fruits, berries, pasta, cooked rice, some nuts, some protein by way of cooked chicken, eggs, including cooked egg shells and some grain products. Of all of the commonly kept parrots, the Ekkies. toucans and Lories seem to have very specific dietary needs. Check out www.landofvos.com and get all kinds of great information on the care and feeding of ekkies.
