Might be adding an Ekkie to my flock
Hi All,
I am going to see a 2 yr old ekkie on Thursday. His name is Dr. Pickle and he lives with his owner breeder so I will be his first (and last) new home. Any suggestions on integrating him into the flock or on winning him over? I have a number of other birds but Dr. Pickle will be my first Ekkie so any Ekkie advice would be greatly appreciated! I am attaching a picture...

Awwwww...what an adorable ekkie! I swear if you don't take and give that cutie a home I'll come over to FL and take him

Thanks Dani! I just don't know a lot about their personality as compared to the birds I have and I would love to hear from Ekkie owners!
How would you describe your Ekkie? What are your fids best qualities? For instance...Mila is a snuggler, I think Rain will be too, both VERY tactile. Big Bird is a verbal communicator, likes a scritch now and then but enjoys verbal signals, sounds and games more,like whistle games...he'll play with you forever.

Let's see here Kim...I'll describe Jazzy's personality but remember she is still just a baby (7 months).
She is moody on whether she likes to be held or not. Most of the time she is content playing around on her cage with the door open. However, is she wants my attention or wants me to hold her she'll stare at me and start flapping her wings like mad. Or she'll do her little whines and mumbles that Ekkies are known for. Lately she has been whining "Heeeeeeelllllllooo!" and "Helloooooo?" because that gets my attention right away! She doesn't play with her toys too-too much. She'd rather eat or run around atop her cage. She doesn't like a lot of comotion or noise...she doesn't like loud abrupt noises and will really stress. Let's see, what else.........
