If you are looking into breeders, you can check out birdbreeders.com, or even wingedwisdom has a nice selection of breeders catagorized into state.

If you are looking into adopting, find a local birdclub- they always know of the birds in the area that are looking for new homes. Also check out petfinder.com to search your area. I would also suggest going to your local animal shelter and tell them you are looking into adding an ekkie to your family- they generally know everyone that is giving away one sort of pet or another.

Birds can also be found on Craigslist, although you have to be careful.
