Adorable baby!

I have never seen a young Ekkie...will his beak change color as he gets older?

Yes, Male Ekkies gradually get more and more of the orange color to their beaks. Female Ekkies keep the black beak.

Congratulations. He is beautiful. I always thought I'd want a female until I saw them both in person (in avian?). The color of the males completely changed my mind. Good luck with Peanut. I hope he gets to come home soon.
