Species, not breeds.
Egg binding is probably most common in young hens who have not fully developped physically, in hens who are overweight, on a bad diet, don't receive enough calcium or exercise. It can also be due to genetics (i.e. laying large eggs) The best way to try to prevent egg binding is to ensure that the bird is flighted and gets daily exercise (or if clipped, holding the bird and forcing bird to flap until winded 2-3 times a day), gets a healthy diet, plenty of calcium and vitamind D, and try to prevent any sort of nesting behavior until at least the hen is of age (in eclectus I would assume the age is 4-6 years of age?). I can't say I've heard of egg binding being particularly troublesome in any particular species, to be honest... I usually hear about it mostly in budgies and cockatiels, but they are more common than some of the other species of parrots, so that doesn't mean that it happens more frequently in them....
