Swing or Boing?

Well I am in the process of getting my house ready for my Eclectus - she will be coming home either Friday or Saturday. I am basically getting her cage ready and updating, rearranging, adding to the play are.

Anyway, what do your ekkie's tend to like better swings or boings? The play area consists of a nice play gym with longs of different perches and levels, tons of toys, a big window to look out of, perfect view of the big screen TV , a couple boings and swings hanging from the ceiling, plus the play top of the cage.

I have both swings and boings and more then one of each - I am trying to decide what she might like best in her cage. I know I can always switch them up, but I still can't decide which to start with. Decisions, decisions!!!

She will have both out of her cage and gets tons out out of cage time (most of the day and evening), but for inside her can't - not sure which one.

What does your Eclectus tend to like better - a swing or boing? The swing will be a rope swing like the boing so she can still climb it and hang upside down like my grey does.

Zazu would vote for the boing. He has a beautiful swing but has only ever gone on it once .

Scarlett can't handle swings. She wasn't fledged properly and JUST began to learn to fly with control so she isn't confident enough for the swing. (she landed on my lap last night while I was in the bathroom getting ready to go out because she was DONE with shower time. I was so proud. And thoroughly scared. . .I messed up my eyeliner because I wasn't expecting it!)

Scarlett likes her boing because it goes from the top of her cage to the bottom and she'll climb up and down it when she's looking for attention. Even though it's not still and stabilized, if she starts to lose her balance, she always close enough to another part of the Boing so she can grab a hold of it and steady herself.

I also recently just got my ekkie so I bought some of everything for his cage. So far the swing is ignored and boing seems to be one of the preferred places for him to perch.

My Miligold likes both (of course he has room in his cage). I would give her one inside her cage and the other hanging up above the cage fom the ceiling. Thats what I do with two of my other birds.

Because I am owned by 7 Eclectus their preference varies they like both the boing and the swing.I find them alternating between the two things you really can't go wrong with either there are swings in all the cages.

My little guy lives in his swing....the boing is only a periodic thing. As soon as the lights go out, up into the swing he goes.
