New family member!
Hiya!
I have just posted this in the main discussion area: How secure are shower perches? But I also want to share my excitement in the Eclectus group, of finally having Berkeley home with us. He is so incredibly beautiful. |

LOL...sorry, I'll get the pics posted tomorrow
He's a Solomon Islands Eclectus and just over 15 weeks old. This afternoon, my daughter was doing her homework with a whiteboard pen. He loved the squeaky noise and started to chat back! It really is such a delight to have a bird back in the house. You may remember my post a few months ago telling of how a fox frightened our conures to death. I think, once you've had birds, you can't be without them. Thanks for all the well-wishes. |

I use a shower curtain rod that tightens when you twist it. I put it in the center of the show and tighten it. I also put electrical tape on the rod to make it less slippery. If you want to see a video of how it works go to YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. and search for cf1ny. I have a video up of Kiwi in the shower. He loves to shower and can easily move in and out of the spray.

Kiwi is beautiful. I guess maybe most Ekkies have the same kinda voice because he sounds just like my Turtle!
