Another Merlin moment

Merlin is a little, well protective of his food. I put his fruit and veg in yesterday but not quite far enough in for merlin to have to go back into his cage. He quite happily sat on the cage entrance eating. Ok I'll move the dish further in. Attempt to distract Merlin on one side whilst pushing dish in the other side.

Of course Merlin isn't that easily fooled, nails me then yells "ouch". i am not impressed by the added insult to injury. "Oh you reckon that was an ouch do you, no kidding smartarse". My 10yo is meantime cacking himself laughing at the whole thing. Yeah laughter from the child who is Merlins chosen bonking object.

I've got a nice bruise on wrist the day after. If they're going to bite me whatever, but what is it with rubbing the whole matter in.

Hehe. I'm sure it was an accident mom. ;0)
I've read that it's best to remove the food bowls from the cage before even opening the cage door for that reason though I never do. They are rascals aren't they? Echo isn't too good about sharing food either; even if it's MY food we're sharing. I get the "ow, no bite, bad girl" from Echo after the bite. He's not too bad though. Nothing like he could be but he's only 3 so he has time to get worse. Blossom, bfa, yells "no" and laughs her evil little amazon laugh.

I'm lucky, i can do anything! :) i'm dreading puberty and hormones with a blind parrot though! specially since everyone loves her and wants a snuggle and they always stroke her back. i keep saying 'no, you'll encourage her!'
