This may sound a little stupid..

But i never asked the breeder because i didn't think it was important and i always just assumed she was SI, but what do you think?

Am i right? She only sells them for $700 so it seems like the right price for an SI ekkie...

She definately looks like a SI. How old is she and how much does she weigh?

She looks like an si. The red sided look much the same. Do you know her weight? If you can get in touch, you could ask the breeder what subspecies she is.
I only paid $700 for my red sided male three yrs ago. She was asking $800 but she came down on the price for me. She could tell how much Echo and I liked each other. Plus, I think she wanted the room. I probably would have paid the 8 but I liked 7 better.

Weight can be misleading. My Rosie (SI) weighs 500 grams. She's one solid motor scooter. LaFitte on the other hand is only 350 grams. Can you say henpicked?

I can't tell the length of her tail feathers in the pic, but if they are only an inch or so longer than her outer wing primaries when folded back, that would indicate SI. RS have much longer tail feathers.

Who is the little cutie in the first picture with her? Does she have a partner in crime?

In Australia $700 is about standard for both an SI and an RS. It's once you start looking at Vos etc that you pay significantly more. Merlin is an RS but looks like he may have some Mac in his background too. Alot of the ekkies here aren't pure subs.

Her tail is very short and only has a slightest hint of yellow but mostly grey. she has a bit of green mixed with the blue in her wings.

Her partner-in-crime is Squibly, my partner's GCC. He loves her and was UNDEr her wing in that pic.

Can they all inter-breed?

Yep. They're all eclectus roratus then you go into the sub name.
1. Red-sided Eclectus (roratus polychloros)
2. Grand Eclectus (roratus roratus)
3. Solomon Island Eclectus (roratus solomonensis)
4. Vosmaeri Eclectus (roratus vosmaeri)

plus a few other including our own Australian native ekkie.
Macgillivray Eclectus (roratus macgillivrayi)

Couldn't tell you exact times but it wasn't until different birds were identified in their native habitat that it was realised the differences and the naming of the subs. By that stage birds of different subs had already been breeding quite successfully.
