Vosmaeri eyes

My female grand vosmaeri started keeping one of her eyes closed yesterday. She seems to have no problem opening it when I play or talk to her and it looks normal when she does open it. As she is 25 years old and this is new behavior for her I'm concerned. She seems normal and healthy in every other way...could she have scratched it or maybe have gotten dust in it? If anyone out there has experienced this before, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks in advance! :>)

my only guess would be she got something in it. I would get it checked out. Especially her being 25.

I had a simular problem with one of my birds. I drizzled saline over the eye so that when she blinked some got in. Then I called the vet, had her checked, & to my surprise I had done everything right. Her eye is fine, just some dust in it. But better safe than sorry.
