sleep in snuggle bed/tent??

Hi, I am new here and am awaiting the arrival of my baby eclectus soon. So am trying to get everything ready. just wondered if I should get one of those bird beds/ snuggle / tent ??
I have never had one for any of my birds (budgies, love birds and cockatiels) before , just thought eclectus would be more cuddly wanting hide in something?
What do you guys have for your fids?
thanks

Dewey has a little hammock he likes, other than that he sleeps on the highest perch in his cage.

I've been told they aren't a good idea for Ekkies. Due to their hormonal/nesting desires. I haven't tried one with Sophie but she dies like to sleep in the most open area of the cage. lol She likes to see whats going on.

Hobbit (my conure) loves hers and sleeps in it every night. I've tried it for some of my other guys (cockatoos- hard finding it in the big sizes!) but they never liked it. They did really go for the heated perches! Everyone has one- and they generally use them as a sleep perch. Except of course for those (like Zoey my M2) who learned how to get the cord by reaching through the bars... now she's banned from having them.

Both of my ekkies have snuggle huts in their cages. They use them off and on. My male tends to use it more while my female I have noticed uses it when she wants seclusion and hides while peeking her head out so she can still see what’s going on. I also have a sun concure and two quakers, and they all sleep every night in theirs.

just wondering how old your female is? I have a girl baby, and am not sure if I want to give her one, if she becomes possessive and nesty over it when she gets older, but it sounds like you don't have those issues, is she very young?

My female "Cali" is a year and half. She has had the hut since I brought her home when she was 4 months old. For about the first 2 months she never used it. But now its really off and on. She isnt possessive at all and even comes out of it when I open her cage and ask if she wants to play.

thanks. maybe I'll try one with Talula and if it becomes a problem I'll take it out at that time.
