GORGEOUS baby! I am going to assume that lutino is sex linked gene in turqs as it is in cockatiels, and if both parents were normal greens, then I'd assume that the father was split lutino, which means that the chick would be female???
I once owned a turk, but she was quite old (about 10 or so yrs old), and very stressed (lost her mate several years earlier, then in a large flight cage with nothing to do but pluck herself) so she only lived two weeks after I brought her home... she was gorgeous, but because I didn't have her for long I hadn't really looked up much into the turk mutations and what-not, so I'm not really sure what a good mutation would be to breed this one with!

Wow- fabulous coloring!
WOW! Beautiful bird Neophema.
He is a Stunner in my aviary at the moment.. I have worked out the father and mother were boths splits to yellow and the father must have also had a white wing split in there somewhere. The Baby is a male .

He is so beautiful!
He is gorgeous! How are they like personality wise? Because I like to have beautiful birds who I can cuddle with. Is he friendly and cuddly?

Turks, like any grass parakeet, tend to be more aviary type birds, not really the type to cuddle or preen eachother... They don't really seem to have a hard bite (if any at all), are relatively easy to tame (especially when young!), and sound gorgeous! They are about the size of a budgie, but would do better with tiels than any budgie would! Grass keets are actually great keets to mix in with finches and doves even!

yeah Neophemas are very beautiful and about the size of a budgie.. 20-24cm
They cant really be tamed but they do get fond of you.. The purple tipped yellow turk is a strong guy with a pretty decent bite.. When i ringed him shortly after his fledging he bit me really hard but now he is more fond of me and is very outgoing compared to other Neophemas..
He is the easiest Bird i have to catch with a net if theres a problem.
They dont usually bite usually a nibble...
