Oh yes I love this greycloud! hehe. Wow Stephanie your daughter is sooo lucky! Rats are great pets for children, unlike hamsters, mice, gerbils etc they actually crave human interaction like puppies you can fit in your pocket! We don't have dumbos in Australia, unfortunately, so I've never seen them before in real life. They have such sweet faces.


I can also relate to your daughter... I was prone to ear infections as a child and they are no fun :( Hope she is feeling better, but what is better than two new pets!

She is feeling a little better today. She loves the rats, she missed her Narna (last Dumbo rat). She sits by the cage and talks to them. She likes to put them in the hood of her jacket and walk around.

This morning she snuck them some of her cereal.

I agree that rats are excellent pets for small children, they are really like tiny dogs that are calm and hardly ever bite.

Ahh, Rat love! there needs to be more! alot of people can't see past their reputations for being pests and tails.. When they're really one of the best little pets!

I agree the main issue is people can't get past the fact that it is a rat.
