A new baby will be joining our family....

When this one is weaned, s/he'll be coming home with me :-).

It was suggested on another thread that I should announce our newest family member in a separate thread, so here I proudly announce the addition to our family of my baby GW Macaw, who was hatched on December 15th, 2005 :-). Gender unknown, but the DNA test has been sent off, so I should know by the end of the week:

S/he has a sibling. My baby is in the foreground. The sibling is in back. It's 3 days younger and much smaller and lighter than my baby:

They like hanging out together. Again, mine is in the foreground:

    How cute is this?

S/he has pretty colors and beautiful wings:

    Pretty as a picture!

Just some more pix, 'cause s/he's so pretty. I hope it's not too many....

I hope I haven't just bored everyone to death with all these pix! What can I say--I love the little beauty :-). If you haven't already read the other thread, more pix can be seen at "I am In Love...."

And here I thought I didn't want a Greenwing. Just goes to show that the heart usually wins out over the head--at least with me :-).

I don't know what to name the baby. So far, I just call him/her "Baby"--what else? *grins* I like Arthur, Erin, Patrick, Robin, Rowan and Joseph, among many names, but nothing seems to jump out at me, yet. Maybe it'll be easier once I know its gender. I am very fond of "Arthur", though, and "Robin" is one of my fav names--and has the advantage of being good for a girl or a boy.... Who knows, though. I'll know when the baby tells me, methinx :-).
