    What do you think? Homemade!

I've wanted to buy one of these for Pookie but after seeing a lot of them and taking into consideration the exagerated pricing, I decided to build my own! Im not the best handyman but I think it came out good. Any constructive criticism welcome!

You will see the prototype in some pictures and then the final product with the extended perches to the right. I decided to put the feeders leaned in a bit to kinda make it a bit easier for her. There are still some finishing touches that need to be done. I read you can sand down the perches a bit or even dril small lines or groves with a dremel so I plan on doing that. The perches on the right make the gym very stable.

She was terrified of it at the begining but now she's getting used to it.

Looks very good. However, do be sure to sand those perches so she doesn't fall. Another thing you can do to make the perches more interesting is to heat them with a heat gun and using big plyers, twist and squeeze the softened PVC. It makes them more like real limbs.

Great job!!! The other quick solution for making the pipe more gripable is Vet wrap.

Great job! The prices are terribly inflated, aren't they? One thing about sanding the pvc or grooving with a dremel. I've read that pvc is safe for birds as long as it is intact, and particles can't be inhaled or ingested. Some suggest you just use vet-wrap to avoid this. If you do sand them, wipe them down well. Just a thought.

now why the heck didn't I think of that??? That is a great idea Nancy!!! Especially since I don't use my heat gun for anything else anymore!!!

That is an awesome perch!!! I really love the design.
