Try looking at Ebay, discount pet places over the internet or if you can find any stores in your area, try asking in your local classifieds, or check out http://www.freecycle.org/ and join your local free cycle group (or the closest one to your city) and asking to see if anyone has an extra cage for a budgie.

Hello!
I am looking for a new cage for my parrotlet and here are two from ebay that I have my eye on. They would both be a nice, big size for your keet! (Bar spacing is just right too!) Prob. another $20-$30 for decent perches though.

Cheap cages

Ebay cages, though cheap, end up costing you more, because of shipping charges. Usually equal the price of the cage. The internet companies who offer no shipping charges, have high prices.

As a breeder, I buy 10 to 20 cages per year. (I discard and replace min. 5 cages per year). I research cages constantly for the best deals and can tell you with certainty that the BEST prices are offered in the bird fairs.
Most of those dealers import from china or buy from an importer.

If you are not able to go to the shows, get the list of the cage vendors from your local club or show coordinator.

My newest find is a company in Memphis "Country Feathers". You can google their web address, but I think it's their name.net.

I bought my new breeding cages, which everyone was selling for $25 to $30, for $13. They have parrot and tiel cages, as well.

Best of luck.

Some cages off of Ebay aren't so bad, since some DO offer free shipping, however for the ones that don't, it can still cost one an arm and a leg! It's good to hear though that you are finding some nice cages at a good price!
