Question Help!

Ok well as some of u may know i just got my first bird a parakeet.She truts me know i can touch her chest and she sits there, but i want to get her to purch on my finger and i do push on her chest lightly with one finger out like a perch but she does not purch on my finger what am i missing???

Well, instead of pushing lightly on her chest, try pushing yet slightly lifting right above her feet, and slowly rolling your other hand or the perch she is on backwards so that she has to step forward.

You could also try gently lifting up one of her claws and she might step up then. I have to do that to Soda sometimes when he is stubborn and does not want to go to his cage. But remember, I said gently, their feet are very sensitive.
