Old House, Q:

My cousins and I live in an old house, it's gotten a tad chilly in the early mornings and I found out that we have a furnace beneath the house that is ran by diesel. We probably won't be using it for a while but when winter comes is this safe for birds? I don't know if I'm over reacting but as an individual who loves to have a clean house I have put the febreze, glade pluggins, scented candles, etc up since birds won't tolerate them.
At least I still have my vacuum.
Any Advice or alternative if necessary.

I would think that if its properly vented under the house you shouldnt have problems. Any type of heat can cause problems if not vented or working properly. You might want to have it inspected prior to using it, if its real old, and hopefully someone else will answer who has more experience since I dont think I have heard of one being ran on diesel before.

Thank you,
I wasn't sure if I was overreacting, sorry. I'll do just that.
