hard-anodized pots & pans

Hi,
I'm looking for new pots and pans and wondering if Hard Anodized stainless pans will be ok to use with my white fronted amazon.
Please let me know - thanks

Hard-anodized aluminum cookware is safe for birds, as is stainless steel. Of the two, I prefer the hard-anodized aluminum. Calphalon does have a hybrid anodized product, but I'm not sure if it uses teflon (the Calphalon website just lists that its a hybrid of anodized & a non-stick).

I thought so! I was just going to jump in and ask when I scrolled down and saw your post, Michele.
So, can we look forward to hearing more about Corbett now?

I like the Farberware and Revereware with the copper bottoms. I have sold all of my Calphalon, because its not supposed to go in the dishwasher. Considering the high cost of the stuff, I think that should be a minimal requirement.

I prefer to use a good old seasoned cast iron skillet for frying or my Farberware stainless electric skillet. Just don't use anything with Teflon or Silverstone. They are basically the same product.

As a last resort, there's always Corning Ware. I think its a lousy cooking medium for stove top stuff, but its great to bake in and certainly looks attractive on the table.

If you can hold off for about 2 months, you'll find some amazing buys on Farberware and the anodized cookware, for most of the major companies put together starter packages just before Christmas. Also, the Home Shopping Network has good buys year round. If you have a membership to BJ's or Sam's Clubs, you'll also have access to Wolfgang Puck's stuff.
