He doesn't want to go back in his cage
My Senegal,Buddy, doesn't want to go back in his cage after I have had him out . I do exactly what I'm supposed to do(I think) I come up behind the perch and keep the perch in front of his chest so you'd think he HAS to just climb onto the perch...right? well, Buddy turns his entire body around...neck, and chest, and climbs back on my arm and starts cooing. he obviously does not want to go back, but be with me. He just keeps purring, cooing, until I finally have to literally pick up his entire body with my left hand and put him on the perch. It really makes me feel bad to do this becasue I know he wants to just be held and loved. I'd keep him with me all the time except we have 12 cats and three dogs who also need my love and attention.
Any ideas? Last edited by mybuddy; 10-14-2007 at 11:55 PM. Reason: This is posted twice and I would like to cancel it. |

When you put your arm in the cage, try pushing your arm against one of the top corners of the door. That way, if he tries to climb back up your arm, he'll run right into the cage bars above the door, and if he tries to go around, he'll run into the bars on the side of the door.
