The First Few Days
I'm considering adopting a lesser jardines parrot and have run into some pretty contradictory information in my researching adventures concerning the first week in a new home. One page says that you should get the bird into its new routine as quickly as possible, and another says that you shouldn't even let him out of the cage during the first seven days. Advice? Opinions? Thanks.

It depends more so on the bird... If it's a bird that likes attention and being around people then getting it out immediately is not a problem... However if it's a bird that is scared in it's new situation and doesn't enjoy handling then it's easier to let the bird settle in first before trying anything too drastic...
