Taming my Ringneck
Hi, I'm not sure if this really goes here, but...please help me.
I want to tame my ringneck that I had for almost a year.
She is a blue Indian Ringneck and her name is Bubbles. You can see her in my Gallery.
I want to teach her to sit on me and not be afraid.
Here is her story: (Kinda long)
She was tame before but she used to live by this guy I know and my sister-in-law always went over there because they are family and she saw Bubbles (Wasn't her name then, I named her, but anyways). They never used to feed her but they used to feed the African Grey that used to be right next to her and then my brother asked if he can buy Bubbles, so he bought her, and ever since I've loved her and feed her everyday, she has been out of her cage for the past 2 and a half weeks now and we are trying to tame her.
Because I have this one boy on my school that is my bros. friend and he's brother is my brothers friend. They have a green one and they look after him VERY well and he is really tame, and I envy that because Bubbles isn't like that, even though my African Grey is tame I want my ringneck to be as well.
So if anyone has any really good training tips, please help me.
OH! and this weekend, we are going on holiday for my sister-in-laws b-day so I won't be with her. I'm leaving tomorrow. We might leave her by my brothers' friend that looks after he's bird so well, so we know she is in good hands and the domestic worker need to clean my bros room anyway.
Please someone help me with effective taming techniques that will have really good results.
Thank you soooo much.
