Offer it in a seperate dish or cup that you can remove after about an hour. You might also try on a small plate that he "graze" on.

I have separate bowls for their fresh veggies and other "treats". I only keep them in for a couple of hours but that way you dont waster food if you put it with their pellets or seeds. Then know that when mommie brings the other bowls, its dinner time. They meet me at their cage doors.

The fruit salad cannot be good for him if you made it that long ago. As a rule, discard chopped fruits after 3 days.

Hmmm...

I don't even recommend YOU eating a fruit salad after 2 weeks! That's NOT fresh!!! Ew.

When you put some fresh (purchased or picked THAT SAME day) fruit in the cage, try squeezing juice of an orange over it...that will help it stay a bit fresher for a few hours...but you will have to remove it the same day!!!

Still sealed or not it's not fresh at the point of two weeks. If you ate that and your stomach held up pretty good I applaud you. I tend to feed something that old to the garbage dispoal.
