caique hormonally charged

O.K. I need some help.
Madaline seems to always be, uummm, hormonally charged. I know people say that birds have their breeding season in the spring but it is Aug.
I've gotten to where I don't handle her as much because it seems like the more time she spends with me the more "charged" she becomes. I am also careful about where I pet her (only on the head).
She does things like- when she is on top of her cage and I come over to get her to step up, she will gently but firmly grab one of my fingers with her beak and then grab another finger with her foot and kinda chew on me. I thought she was just trying to play and wrestle so I would play along but then it seems like when we quit playing she'll climb back into her cage and start banging her beak on the cage wires and then she starts pinning her eyes at me when I come near and if I get close enough she'll beat her head on the cage trying to bite me through the wires. My guess is that she is sexually frustrated with me. When she is on top of her cage she will also stick her beak down between the wires with her bottom higher than her head then she'll flutter her wings (she can't fly her wings are clipped).

Is there anything that you can do to help her come out of this cycle or to make it milder?

Please help!!!

If her seed has hemp in it, change seed mixes to a none-hemp mix. Cut her cooked food intake in half, and give her a couple more hours of sleep at night.

When birds are acting hormonal, try to reduce their light hours to 8 a day. It will only encourage breeding behaviors the longer she is exposed to sunlight. And, do decrease the hemp seed. It often triggers breeding behavior.
