Bandanna for feathers plucking..help!

Hello!
In a book about parrots I read that it could be useful to tie a bandanna around the parrot's neck...This should ancourage tha parrot to eat the fabric instead of the feathers on his /her breast...
Has anyone tried? Anyone has a photo? Is it okay to use a normal bandanna?
Help me please, I'd like to try this, the tube collar loos like a torture...

I have made fitted vests for my plucker in the winter months. In the summer, its too hot. I would think a bandana would get caught too easily. Mine is fitted and ties over the back in front of the shoulder and behind the wings (two sets of ties). I also made fringes for the bird to fiddle with. She refeathers, but always removes them once I remove the vest.

Thank you so muach for the photos...I made a vest, but after 20 mins I took it off: my Sennie had engaged such a battle that she had become almost numb to everything ... I think I'm really stressed at the moment...I made valerian root tea, Passion floer tea, Bach Flower...I'm really sad: nothing has changed, we are spending time together and she seems quite calm...
